Lifts in Operation
A low at the British Isles will spread across France to the western Mediterranean region at the weekend. Therewith, the Alps will get in a strong, in the mountains partly stormy-gusty south foehn current, which will bring us very mild air masses of subtropical origin. The air will get more humid, consequently precipitation clouds will get trapped against the Alpine divide and against the mountains in the south thereof. In the north of the Alpine divide it will remain mostly dry due to the foehn and the clouds will repeatedly be replaced by the sun. On Tuesday the low will move on to Spain, consequently the foehn current will cease unspectacularly and a temperatures decrease is not expected. On the contrary, the late summery warm air masses will stay with us and the sun will determine the weather.
